Here’s a feature invented by Twitter that I thought would be useful on Mobog. Simply put an “at” symbol (@) in front of a username, and it will automatically link to the person’s Mobog page.
For example, I could write “on a date with @ilona” and Mobog will automatically link to ilona’s profile. See an example here.
This trick works in photo titles, comments, and status messages.

A few people have noticed some email and comment strangeness recently. Specifically, it appears as if they sent private messages, and posted comments, that they did not send or post.
Some have asked me if Mobog was hacked, and if their private emails were being read by someone else. Don’t worry - nobody read your email. A “hacker” (i believe a friendly hacker) found an exploit in Mobog that allowed him to simulate posting comments and emails as other people.
The reason I think the hacker is friendly is because he didn’t do any real damage with it (not that much damage could have been done), and targeted the comments in one of my recent pictures. I assume he/she was trying to alert me of the exploit. Which worked. So thank you mister hacker - I love you too.
In conclusion, there is nothing to fear. Nobody read your private emails. At worst, I think about 100 people may have inadvertently posted or emailed “i love you” to someone else without their knowledge.
I figured out the exploit and fixed the problem.
Thanks everyone,
Pud

Now you can easily block people who are subscribed to you. “Blocking” someone removes them as a subscriber, and also removes their ability to comment on your pics.
There’s also a new interface to “bulk” unsubscribe from many users at once.
To see then new features: Visit www.mobog.com, click “my profile” and then “subscribers” or “subscribed to”
Let me know if you come across any problems.

What new features would you like to see in Mobog? Here are some ideas:
My questions to you:
Please leave your answers here in the comments.
And please don’t leave personal problems or bugs (”why can’t I upload?”) in the comments — contact me for those. Thanks!

If you use Twitter, you’ll be happy to know that Mobog can automatically post to Twitter when you send in a new pic. Just go to “settings” and check the box “Automatically post my new photos to Twitter.”
If you don’t use Twitter, you should check it out. It’s a great little “microblogging” service where posts are limited to 140-characters. People who like you can “follow” you and receive your updates online or sent to their phones.

If you use Twitter, leave a link to your Twitter page in the comments on this blog.

You’ll notice a new “Top” link next to “Pictures” and “Discussion.” It lets you see the most-viewed pictures that have been uploaded in the last day, week, or month.
Not sure if this is a good idea but there we go.

Mobog had a bug where if you deleted your account and then tried to register again with the same email address, it wouldn’t let you.
That’s fixed now.

One of the most-requested features I never got around to building (until today) is the ability to change your registered email address.
So for the many of you who have asked me to update your email address to a different one, do this: Click “settings” and then “change my email address.”
Let me know any other feature requests in the comments. Thanks!

Click the “status” link. It’s between the “Pictures” and “Discussion” links on the Mobog homepage.
Let me know what you think!
Also let me know of any bugs you find or ideas you have, in the comments here.
I think it’s fun.
